Hi,

My comment would be that no matter how they dress up the top bit, the fact

still remains that they lopped off the top of his femur and hammered a

foreign object down the bone marrow.......... And it is that part that I

have never liked about a THR.......... I gather that is what many others

don't like either...........and no doubt why the good doctors have

constantly sought to find a design that didn't need to do

that............... with some other added advantages thrown in such as

providing adequate stress to keep osteoporosis at bay...........

I was told for 30 years that touching bones unduly wasn't a good

idea............hence noone would ever dream of doing a THR on me for that

reason........... I understand there is far more chance of having infections

happen with bone operations than say flesh operations because of blood

supply issues......... and would think the more you interfer, the more the

percentages increase............ And just having had someone ring me

describing life with a staf infection down in the bottom of the bone marrow

section that has resulted in his 2nd revision THR being hauled out after 2

years I am feeling even more happy to have my Resurface...........

So Jack can have his ceramics.............. nothing will convince me I don't

have a superior device.........smile.
