Guest guest
I haven't had my wisdom teeth out yet either, I'm also 22. The 2 on the bottom are coming in and their sideways because i can feel the side of the tooth poking out. They don't bother me yet and I'm waiting until i get the 2 on the top in. I'd rather have them all taken out at once since i know they will have to be cut out. No reason to have to do it twice. Wisdom Teeth Hi all, I think I am getting my wisdom teeth (at 22 ). Well I know I am getting my wisdom teeth as the upper right has a tooth poking out the side of my guns and the bottom right feels bumpy like there is something ready to come through. I know I am going to have to make an appointment with a dentist but is there any specific information I need for him? Do you get wisdom teeth removed under full anesthetic? If there is any other work to be done, can it be done at the same time? And how will it work for pain killers after. Anyone I know has gotten T2's or T3's max. Those won't do anything for me I am sure. Grr this sucks! They are starting to hurt too. I cant open my mouth wide for some reason without them aching What next Stacey BTW my party was nice. Really small and quite. Only four people. Just really laid back and comfy just sitting around the fire talking for hours. I had a few drinks, about 2 I think (that sounds bad but its not how it sounds lol, one of my drinks ended up getting spilled so I think in total I had to vodka coolers). Guest guest
When I had my wisdom teeth removed I had a full general anasthetic and the pain afterwards wasn't too bad but I could only eat mushy foods for a week or so and was bruised up to my eyes (not to bad though)and pretty swollen , the absolute worst part for me came a couple of weeks later when I started to spit out stitches as they started to disolve (there were little bits of cotton stuff in your mouth all the time which you had to spit out (or swallow) I carried a tissue (or tissues) with me so that I could discretely spit the stitches into the tissue. It didn't hurt at all but was a bit gross... I was lucky to only have 3 wisdom teeth but was unlucky becasue they were growing horizontal along (into) my jaw bone they had to cut up my gums/ the inside of my cheeks quite a bit to get at them and get them out. Good Luck Stacey Sharon > Hi all, I think I am getting my wisdom teeth (at 22 ). Guest guest
I had shockingly impacted wisdom teeth that required too much to get them out. I had general anaesthesia. Sadly though, what I expected from the procedure, I didn't get. I expected great pain and swelling and to lose time from school. It didn't happen. I was at school the next day, feeling fine - and I had to sit all of the final exams I was hoping to avoid!!! In terms of your questions, if you see a specialist for the extractions, he likely will do this under general or twilight sedation, and no, he won't likely to any other work, he's there to operate and then that's it, fillings, etc. fall back to the hands of the regular dentist.
