I love that name, Maya; so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your wonderful day with us. I feel like I am right there. If I HAD been there, I would have helped you with the preparations so you wouldn't now be so exhausted....AND I would definitely parttake in all the food; especially the ice cream cake--yum! I'd love to know how she made it.

My granddaughter, Maya, turned 8 today! She is my youngest grandchild. We had a party here at my house. All 8 of my grandkids were here, at least for awhile. The oldest, , had to leave for work after a few hours. is 24. We had fried chicken, potato salad, chipotle macaroni salad, rolls and the best sweet corn in the world. Sweet Corn is grown near here and is is absolutely delicious. My daughter (Maya's mom) made an ice cream cake. It was spectacular

Maya had a wonderful day and she was full of smiles every time I looked at her.

I had a great time and enjoyed all the conversation, food and fun. I am exhausted!
