Guest guest
Yo, Surfers one and all. Thoughts and questions: There have been a number of posts about the possible dangers of flossing. If my understanding and experience of dental issues is correct, bleeding occurs in flossing for one of two reasons: 1) poor, over-aggressive technique; or 2) Gingivitis, or a similar periodontal infection. Flossing, then, may actually reveal presence of infection before it becomes otherwise apparent. This is a good thing, in terms of treating dental infection/inflammation, that might compromise a prosthesis. I'd think the real story about flossing is that you should be doing more of it...not less. The question: Does anybody have experience of CIGNA PPO coverage of resurfacing? Guest guest
Hi Alan, It seems all these things are so variable......... Yesterday I went for my yearly dental checkup.......... My dentist who has a reputation for being the best around here was quite excited about the great state of my teeth.... he actually gave me a badge for being a great flosser and tooth manager........ I didn't have the heart to tell him that I am hardly flossing at all these days......... I would attribute all this to not eating too much junk food plus using a reasonable electric toothbrush............ I took my 6 antibotic tabs because I am a high risk due to past osteomylitis etc......... However I seemed to have a stomach reaction to the heavy dose so I am going to be wondering about continuing to do this..........
