Guest guest
Outside of board splints, I'm not sure there's much of anything we carry that would pass that test. Guest guest
I can see it now...instead of knowledge tests we can have an accuracy/structural integrity test by dropping equipment out of helos above street in front of the convention center. Closest to the bulls-eye without breaking the equipment wins two weeks in whatever that utopian place that Gandy was always sending people to for winning trivia contests. Guest guest
I have no clue, Thats another thing I have not seen in many years. Thats one of the reasons I wanted to get back on the board. I wanted to see what was being talked about in EMS. Foe the past two years, I have done nothing but transfer psych patients. A few of them have actual medical problems, but not many. We don't even write a traditional narrative anymore. It is pre printed, and you circle what applies, and cross out what does not. 99% of them refuse to let you take vitals, because they dont want to be prodded on, and the partial hospital we take then to does that any way. They are not physically sick. But lemme tell ya....these people can seem perfectly normal one minute, the be combative and trying to jump out the back the next. Still.....it feels like fraud, because of all my past training. A lot of the time, they are perfectly normal, walk to the stretcher, are nice.......but that can change in an instant, and you never know when it's coming. But like I said, sometimes I don't even feel like a Medical EMT anymore, more like a glorified Taxi, and Security Guard. So...I thought it would be nice to come back and talk with folks who are still involved in REAL EMS. Mike I'll keep my Guns, my Freedom and my MONEY, You can keep the " CHANGE. By the mid 80s, we had tossed the foot pumps, and were using the PPV demand valves to inflate the MAST pants. Got the job done a lot faster, and with a lot less effort. I also figure that being wrapped in pants inflated with 100 percent oxygen probably offered a serious hyperbaric benefit. > > > > Rob > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > >
