Just sifting through emails now, after having been in Rockville MD for 3 hockey games mydaughter (-goalie) played in.This is a lovely way to begin your day, sweetie. I think that is so special. Great energy for you both. Only ritual I have is getting up somewhere between 5:30 and 6am; feed the animals (2 dogs, Missy and Munchkin, and 1 cat-), walk dogs, get kids up, sometimes make them breakfast--they really are old enough to get for themselves. Basically, that's my morning in a nutshell.love to you and Robbin and all my friends here,KateTo: mserslife Sent: Thursday, November 3, 2011 4:08 PMSubject: ritual

I don't know if you have a "morning ritual", I wanted to share Robbin's and mine. He wakes up whenever he wakes up (usually around 11-noonish) (we're late night people here) and when he's done in the bathroom, comes into my bedroom and grabs a blanket and curls up next to me for a bit. We might discuss our dreams from the night or just hug and not talk at all. It is the nicest possible way to start my day. I always have a spare blanket on the bed off to the side, he uses that (meaning he does not actually get *into* bed with me, he stays on top of my sheets/blankets). It is such a nice way to wake up, hugging my baby...

Nice!My morning ritual depends a bit on what day it is (weekday or weekend/holiday/vacation). On an ordinary weekday I get up somewhere between 5am and 6am (could be earlier in the summer, I want to do my morning walk before the day gets too hot, and when possible catch the sunrise). Then I take a quick shower, perhaps have a glass of water or something like that, and then I get out and walk for about 1 - 1,5 hour. After that it's breakfast, yoghurt with müsli is my standard weekday breakfast. Followed by coffee, of course (I don't take my morning coffee with my brekfast, first because I enjoy it on it's own..., and secondly because I may do some writing or reading with my coffee). That's my weekday mornings, pretty much. Unless it's monday, when I walk to the train at 4:30 am, and do my walk in connection with that. And sometimes go back to sleep for a quarter of an hour or so when I get back...On weekends/holidays etc my day starts a little later (between 7am and 8 am usually), and I some times save my walk for later in the day- And have sandwiches for breakfast. The long morning walk is a ritual I started this spring, and it's a really nice way to start the day. Mind and body wakes up, and it makes breakfast more enjoyable (I am not hundry when I wake up, so eating breakfast right after I wake up is something I do just because I know I need to, eating breakfast after a 1,5 hour walk is another thing altogether).love/Reb>> Just sifting through emails now, after having been in Rockville MD for 3 hockey games my> daughter (-goalie) played in.> This is a lovely way to begin your day, sweetie. Wow, Reb! That is quite a ritual. That is a nice, long walk. Makes me feel like a slug! I relate to the coffee thing. I have espresso with cream every day, and also take mine separate from breakfast so I can give my full attention to it!That is an early start with on Mondays. I give you a lot of credit--you must have to get up by 4am at the latest to get going. Do you ever go back to bed? Or once you're up, you're up? Do you retire early in the evening? I know, lots of questions--sorry, I've always been one for being nosy and inquisitive.love to you and ,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Monday, November 7, 2011 9:14 AMSubject: Re: ritual

I usually get up between 3.30am and 4am on Mondays, yes. I don't usually go back to bed, I am not much fond of going back to sleep after getting up (I don't like the waking up all that much, and if you go back to bed you have to do that twice...). I usually think that I may get back to bed, as a way of luring myself out of it... But once up I tend to stay up.However, today (this week "Monday" was today, because yesterday was a day off), I did decide to make an exception, because I was incredibly tired, due to being sick with the side effects from Rebif for the first half of the night, and the cats deciding to repeatedly jump on me for the second half of the night... So I figured, if I got back to bed right after breakfast I could sleep an hour, because I don't really "need" to be up before 7am. And just because of that, of course..., I was awoken by the phone twice during the hour between 6am and 7am. I gave up sleep after the second call... I guess either I am really not meant to go back to bed after getting up, or I am just not meant to sleep at all some nights...love/Reb> >> > Just sifting through emails now, after having been in Rockville MD for 3 hockey games my> > daughter (-goalie) played in.> > This is a lovely way to begin your day, sweetie.
