National Registry EMT-Paramedic to Paramedic

Has anyone received the latest documentation from the National Registry

regarding the transition from EMT-Paramedic to Paramedic? Apparently it is up

to the state level regarding the requirements for the transition. If you submit

the required CE hours, but do not have transition documentation the National

Registry will downgrade you to a AEMT. Has anyone heard what TDSHS is going to

do about this, and/or if there are any transition classes being offered? I

wasn't able to find any information on the TDSHS webpage. Any information would

be appreciated.

If you do not (by the deadline) take this transition course, you will be

deemed an AEMT by NR. However, you will still be a paramedic in the eyes of

the state. We have several years before this takes effect.

We all wait, with baited breath, for news about the transition course.
