Guest guest
Well as part of the mass delete you probably missed the ones where we worried about you, and you definitely missed the private ones worrying about you. So, yes, we missed you. As for me, my own PC hit the dust, I was fortunate enough to have a local PC guy who also builds them and had one to sell, and as a "local" will take payments or else I'd still be using Robbin's. Robbin recently turned 14 (just under a month ago) and tomorrow Rob turns 46, we had a birthday for him at his mom's today. I made the cake (trusting souls, to let the EX make something edible...and EAT it...) You know, it's funny, I keep thinking that there is something delightful about to happen and that I am leaving out and I want to tell you all about it, however, I haven't the faintest clue as to WHAT it is!!! ~*~ Akiba ~*~ Pragmatic Visionary -- Did you miss me? Thanks to freecycle, I have arisen. I'm afraid I had to do a mass delete but hopefully I'll make some headway reading the web. I only have the slowest speed now and cancelled most of the tv channels as well. So hopefully this will hold up well enough to use for email . Anyway I hope everyone is well and warm! We've snow on the ground and so far I haven't ventured out the door since. Made sure I went to the dr to get refills first so no 'have to' runouts in case of a blizzard. I let my neighbor Ross use my garage for one of his cars in return for him handling my snow. I thought it was a good deal and would save having to run all the way over here with his snow plow. He was a little miffed because he was going to put his boat in there. But it's just as well since he's hurt his right arm and can't shovel the stairs, etc. I really can't think of what I've been doing so obviously nothing exciting. I tried to get some kind of job because I'm having a hard time getting by on a pension of $35/mo! For any Canadians, that's my CPP which is so small, I can't qualify for CPP Disability. So moral of that is if you work for a family business, take friggin' deductions for yourself! Anyway I've been reading a lot ... Sharon, did you see Grafton has V for Vengeance out? I've also got a new grandson who I've yet to see even though the hospital is right down the street from me. My daughter didn't even tell me she had a C-section scheduled for Hallowe'en so when I got the call from my son-in-law I was at first worried that they were okay and then hurt. Before I stopped reading FB I could see how often she came into town for various reasons besides doctor's visits. And never once did she call to say hello or 'would you like to go out for lunch'. Believe me she was not brought up that way; my mother was alone and had health problems and I called and visited all the time. Maybe I'm being oversensitive and maybe is right ... I get to see Sonya some time in the Christmas holidays to give her her gifts, some time around her birthday to give her her gifts. And if I'm really lucky, sometimes around Easter to give her gifts. Anyway it hurts and I've been in the dumps about that. Happier thoughts ... is the holiday exchange still open? .. hugs, Cait
Guest guest
Sure you were missed. Good idea to let the neighbor use the garage and then he shovels for you. Sounds like a perfect deal. Guest guest
Thanks nne. And if the truth be told I'd rather Ross snowblowed it than snowplowing it. I'm nor sure why but always manages to plow part of my lawn. And when he puts salt on the walkway, I loose another foot or so of grass! Ross is a good neighbor and I can call either side of me if I need help or whatever. On the other side is a schoolteacher with a little girl. Little Kira visits me often. I think she wants to know more about ms because she's worried her grandma 'hurts'. She's been wheel-chair bound for a few years and spends the winter in Arizona. Sure wish I could join her. I'm feeling the cold already! ... hugs, Cait Did you miss me?> > Thanks to freecycle, I have arisen. I'm afraid I had to do a mass delete> but hopefully I'll make some headway reading the web. Guest guest
Did I miss you?!? Yes!!! I was getting ready to call in the Mounties:) Seriously, I have missed you. I had decided I would write you a snail mail letter to try to find out what was going on with you (and if you were okay). You saved me a stamp! lolFreecycle to the rescue! I love freecycle, even though I've only gotten a few things from members. But they were major things. I got a nice desktop computer for my grandson , a grain mill and an IKEA cupboard type thing. I would feel slighted too. Shame on Sonya. Have you ever tried to talk to her about this to find out why? I just heard about Grafton's new book "V". I hope to get it soon. She writes too slowly for me. lolI am SO glad you are back!!!!!!big hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
You mean Jana. Sonya's my little granddaughter. Nope to talking with her and I doubt it would be possible. Ever since she was little, if there was something "I don't want to hear it" she wouldn't. She'd just walk away saying she didn't want to talk about it. Strange because I got along with the other two girls fine when they were young. But Jana was different and a lot like my mother. Besides hubby's parents spoil them rotten, have a new large and expensive home they can use anytime, etc. Sonya has only the best and most $ clothes and toys, they've laptops, iphones, a new Rav, a lovely home albeit in a town I wouldn't like to live in either. But never a birthday or Christmas for me ... they just don't have the money. Or so she says. Bet it's not the same to the in=laws tho. Also there's a bit of emotional blackmail ... if I criticize, I won't get to see Sonya and the newborn at all .. hugs, Cait Did you miss me? Thanks to freecycle, I have arisen. Guest guest
Hi Cait, when the MS bit my friends disappeared - that hurt. In a way I don't blame them. For a while there the fatigue ruled and I could not even think straight for long without hitting overload. My razor sharp mind got savagely blunted I rarely see what's left of my family as apart from Mum they are all living very busy lives. My mum is several hours driving away and I do not drive. I tried to not let her see me when I was at my worst. On the plus side I just spent 3 or 4 hours with my daughter, and usually take care of her son once a fortnight (and we try to spend time together at least once a month). I have been ok doing the baby sitting but suspect I have just had an exacerbation, so will see how I go next time.No snow here - the temperature is supposed to get to around 30c/87f today, hotter tomorrow. Guest guest
Welcome back! Of course we missed you!Sorry about the troubles with your daughter. Hopefully she'll come around when she's a little older, but as far as seeing your grandkids while they are still small that might not help, of course... Family is not easy to deal with some times. love/Reb>> Thanks to freecycle, I have arisen. I'm afraid I had to do a mass delete but hopefully I'll make some headway reading the web. I only have the slowest speed now and cancelled most of the tv channels as well. So hopefully this will hold up well enough to use for email .> > Anyway I hope everyone is well and warm! But it's just as well since he's hurt his right arm and can't shovel the stairs, etc.> > I really can't think of what I've been doing so obviously nothing exciting. I tried to get some kind of job because I'm having a hard time getting by on a pension of $35/mo! For any Canadians, that's my CPP which is so small, I can't qualify for CPP Disability. So moral of that is if you work for a family business, take friggin' deductions for yourself!> > Anyway I've been reading a lot ... Guest guest
I'm sorry Cait. It's not fair, is it? I guess you must play along with her to get to see the grandkids. How does your son-in-law get along with you? By the way, I didn't answer you about the New Year's Gift Exchange. Yes it is still on. Do you still want to participate?hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
