Guest guest
Dawn Marie, When do you see your doc again? Tests are all well and good, but if they don't try some meds soon, you will be in much worse shape and unable to get good results as quickly. And, some meds work very slowly before you feel the positive results...like Plaquenil, for instance. Please be assertive with your docs, do not let them keep you waiting around for results. YOU are in charge of YOUR body, girl. Keep us posted on how you are doing, 'k? We love you. MM

They are beginning to think that I may have that CNS Lupus too cause lately I've been having troubles with my motor controls, etc. Anyway, back on the subject... I TRY to be assertive but it's hard to when you can tell that someone's looking at you like your crazy. I'm just getting so worn out from it all! Oh sure, they know now that there is something badly wrong with me now that I'm running a pretty good temp along with all of the symptoms of Lupus but they tell me that something even much worse than what's going on with me now has to happen before they can be definite on what it is. It's a sad world when even your own doctors don't listen to you anymore! I wish we had to money to seek medical attention at one of these specialty places that are out there for autoimmune diseases. Then we could go there just long enough for them to give me my definite diagnosis and not have to tell everyone that they don't know what it is all of the time! Twice in my life now I've been told that I might have something that they don't know anything about yet. That may be true, but they could still try me on different meds to see if something would help. It's been since I got sick, actually on my birthday, August the 4th, that they now say my symptoms are looking like Lupus but then when they try to get me in to a rheumatologist they can't see me till the middle of next month! Come on! If anything my fever has gotten worse and they've just got me sitting here, waiting. They put me on some antibiotics in the beginning but as they can see, THAT didn't do me any good. Sorry, I'm just so fed up with doctors!! Here I am again awake at, well it was 1:30 in the morning when I woke up, now it's almost 2:30, but I NEVER sleep! I'm gonna wait till the doctor's office opens up today and see what I can do about being seen earlier than the middle of next month. > > Dawn Marie

Guest guest
What full days you have, Sharon. You must be exhausted; but a good tired,at the end of each day!I'm happy to read you are feeling better--makes it far easier to function! On Friday, I left for a tournament in Aston, PA with my 11 year old son, .Fortunately, we carpooled with a mom and her son from the team, so it savedme on my anxiety of driving to new places. They played a total of 5 games: 1 onFriday; 2 on Sat and Sun. They won 2, lost 2 and tied 1. These trips really take a toll on me. I get uptight with traveling, and miss my family and my bed! I have tolighten up, as I will/we will be having a fair share of traveling this year, as all 3 of theyounger kids are doing the travel hockey. One plus is that my 17 year old is driving. Wegave him the van, and I bought a new Ford Escape (5 years, 0%!).MS-wise, I've been fairly stable, with the exception of fatigue, balance junk and TN stuff.Today, I go to a children's hospital that has a school connected with it. There are mildlyand severely disabled (mentally and physically);they are looking for per diem teacher-aides.I have to see if I can rise to the occasion of caring for this population, as well as the basicsof what the hours and pay would be. Wish me luck.So far, none of the jobs I've applied for have panned out. Hopefully, God has just the right place for me to be, with the right hours, etc.I can't quite wrap my mind around that it is already October; what happened to August?Wondering a random thing: are pumpkins scare in your neck of the woods? I'm wonderingif everyone is effected by the pumpkin shortage, and high prices. They're nearly doubleof what they were last year. I think hurricane Irene is responsible for the plight.I hope everyone has a super day ahead of them! Please say hi, and send my love to Challis and her family for me.Love you Sharon, and treasure you all,KateTo: Group <mserslife >Sent: Saturday, October 1, 2011 12:44 AMSubject: my day Thankfully I woke up feeling good! No more headache!! Yea! This is my second day on the prednisone and a bonus side effect is that my chronic sinus congestion is clearer. The pain in my ear is better!!This morning I got up and got started early on the Banana Split Cake. By 11 a.m. it was in the fridge chilling for tomorrow. Then I made two pans of brownies. I added milk chocolate chips to the brownies so it will have little lumps of chocolate. It's yummy like that. I cut the brownies and put them all in a tupperware container for 's birthday party tomorrow. I went out to see the chickens and ducks late this afternoon. I took them kitchen scraps and hand feed them. I filled their waterers and threw grain. They love me when I do that:) lolI cut beef into little squares for the chili my son is making first thing in the morning. My hands are aching from that tonight. I helped my 9 year old granddaughter make her "signature" goodie. She always makes Butterscotch Brownies and they are excellent. So we have all sorts of deserts for tomorrow's party. I'm looking forward to seeing all eight of my grandkids tomorrow. I love being with all the grandkids and "kids". My "kids" are 39 and 41:) I lucked out with my daughter-in-law and son-in-law because I couldn't have picked anyone better for my kids! It will be a great day.big hugs to each of you SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I went to town to the laundromat with my daughter-in-law to wash sleeping bags, blankets and dog beds this morning. Man, that's a heck of a lot of work! lol We went to the grocery store and I did a little shopping and got some good bargains. I was able to get four Cover Girl makeups (2 mascaras and 2 eye shadow sets) to put away for two granddaughters for Christmas. I had two CG coupons each good for $8 on two so the makeup cost less than 50 cents each. That's my kind of bargain:) I also went to Dollar Tree to get dog cookies and some candy for "Gramma's Treat Bag". I am so tired! But I will recover by morning--hopefully:)hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
