Out of hospital death pronouncement

I have a question for the group. I've been doing research trying to find out

who can pronounce out of hospital deaths in our state. The CCP (Code of

Criminal Procedures) states that a JP performs a death inquest, and the H&S

code (Health & Safety Code) tells me what is legally dead in the state, but

what about online medical control? Is it legal in Texas? If so where can I

find more on it? Thanks ahead of time for any answers to my

conundrum...........
