I just came from the rheumatologist and she changed my anti-inflammatory. I have to go for an MRI of both knees. I also have to check my blood pressure daily because of the new meds, and she won't give me anything for pain, she told me to see someone in pain management. Any ideas from anyone would be helpful, I'm basically just starting out here although I was diagnosed a few years ago. Thanks Ann PS My prayers are with all of you, as I am only experiencing some of the pain some of you are dealing with daily. Hi Ann: Hopefully I can help you in some manner. As you likely know, we really aren't supposed to refer anyone to a specific physician, but I'm sure we could chat & I could head you in the correct direction to get the appropriate care you need. I'm concerned @ you & surely can empathize about your various medical issues & would be more then happy to help you. It is scary out there when you first start, because unfortunately there really aren't a whole lot of Docs that really know very much @ EDS. Where are you located? I live in Central NJ (Cliffwood Beach) & have run the group in North & Central NJ since we first started having them. So, I do know several people in different areas that have dealt with various people. Actually, all of my personal surgeons are in NYC. It just sort of developed that way. The only Docs I see in NJ are my general internist & my pain specialist, who I only see on rare occasions, because once he set up my general " plan " , my internist took over writing my monthly RX's. Of course my dentist is here too, but unfortunately, I make a regular " trek " into the city to see everyone else. If you'd like to chat on the phone, please feel free to call. All of my info is on the ednf.org site at the North/Central NJ Group. If you're closer to South Jersey, Cathy Bowen is just outside of Atlantic City & I'm sure she'd be happy to help you as well. Please be in touch.... Hang in there! All the best,
