Guest guest
I live in Central land - midway between Baltimore and DC. Got lots of rain, then when it got colder it turned to sleet. We had a period in the afternoon when it snowed, but it was a fine snow you could barely see and didn't stick to anything.Today is gorgeous - bright and sunny with a clear blue sky. You'd never know anything happened yesterday! To: Group <mserslife >Sent: Sunday, October 30, 2011 12:16 AMSubject: snow storm in Eastern US Who has been affected by this huge storm? My nephew lives in land and said they have a bunch of snow. I hear New York and Pennsylvania are very affected. How is everyone? hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
After growing up in a military family, moving every two to three years, it's nice to finally settle in one place. We've been here in land for almost 35 years - in this house for 30! I was talking to a friend who lives 45 minutes away and she said their snowflakes on Saturday were huge, and they still have snow on the ground.I spent a good part of my youth living in New England (where they rarely called school no matter how much snow we got), and it's quite different living here where just the threat of snow will cause schools to close! To: "MSersLife " <MSersLife >Sent: Sunday, October 30, 2011 5:08 PMSubject: Re: snow storm in Eastern US I can't remember what part of land it is where my nephew, , lives.... hmm... oh well. has been in MD for a few years but is from Montana.I hear on the news it is unusual weather for you folks there. Guest guest
Since my nephew is from Montana he knows a thing or two about snow:) My nephew is retired military and does contract work now for the military. 30 years in the same house is fantastic, Maureen. I hate moving! I hope to live the rest of my life right here where I am now. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
My friends who have never left land don't understand meI think it's so cool to see how the neighborhood has changed, to be known by name most places I go, to see our doctor at the grocery store, to text a teacher, to have the vet remember the dog you had 20 years ago . . . . . . I probably sound silly.Granddaughter Hailey goes to the same elementary school my four kids went to. Many of the same teachers are there. She had the same kindergarten teacher her Mommy had. It's like old home week when I go in and volunteer!
