You are correct, this recognition is concerning physician, but it is a step

forward in the promotion of our profession as a true medical speciality, not

just a branch of fire service or public servants. With these small steps maybe

someday soon we can obtain the same status and respect as most other medical

professionals. We must continue to move forward, while always remembering our

simple beginnings.
