Guest guest
15 mg of MS Sent from my iPhone, McGee, EMT-P, EMT-T Texas and other states have many measurements in old deeds that confound young lawyers today. Old surveys are in links, chains, rods, and sections. A rod is 33.5 feet; a chain is 4 rods, and a mile is 80 chains or 320 rods. A section of land is a mile square, 80 chains, 320 rods, 5280 feet, 640 acres. A link is 7.5 inches, and 25 links equals a rod. Now, how many of you medics know how much a quarter grain of morphine is? GG Say what? Guest guest
National waters end at 12 miles, with most countries claiming out to 200nm as their " exclusive economic zone " or similar. Areas where it isn't wide enough, they either have a " historical answer " or they split the difference between the shorelines. There is also a lot of talk about " natural boundaries " underwater, and governments are now trying to claim the entire continental shelf as their exclusive area, which is why there are actually quite a few (governmental) survey operations on the polar ice (and one russian flag underwater.)
