Guest guest
Hi nne,….I had been very diligent about getting my mammo’s EVERY year as there is breast cancer in my family, so I never missed a year UNTIL that one tech hurt me so bad. I have a tendency to stop doing something if it hurts me. I know not a very good excuse because I had other techs that did a fine job. In fact one place I went to they read the films while you waited and if everything looked clear they brought you a beautiful red rose. My aunt has had cancer 2’xs 15 yr’s apart, and lumpectomies both times and she will be 83 in a week, so she is a BIG advocate for early detection as my grandmother died of breast cancer she got when she was about 67, died at 73 back in 1972. That was before lumpectomies, and she had cobalt treatments which burned her terribly. I was her nurse until the end, and it was a very heartbreaking experience. I was glad I was the one who took care of her with Hospice. My Aunt and daughter go to the Race for a Cure every year!Hugs and love, Jackie J From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On Behalf Of nne SvihlikSent: Monday, July 18, 2011 4:53 AMTo: mserslife Subject: RE: Cait.....Re: doctor appt today Jackie and ladies,Please get your mammograms regularly. I never had one till I found a lump when I was 44. As most of you know it was cancerous. If you catch it early its a whole easier.HugsnneTo the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world " " May the Lord Bless you and keep you,May the Lord Make his face shine upon you, and give you Peace...Forever " Breast Cancer Patients Soul Mates for Lifehttp://breastcancerpatientssoulmatesforlife.bravehost.com/ Anxiety Depression and Breast Cancerhttp://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/AnxietyDepressionandBreastCancerAngel Feather Loomerwww.angelfeatherloomer.blogspot.comThe Cancer Clubwww.cancerclub.com Re: doctor appt today.Wow, maybe that's our 'whitecoat fear' solution Sharon. Be seen by a PA rather than a dr! My lower back pain is still here as always but it's probably lesions on my spine. And no, I won't go for an MRI. I didn't realize you weren't getting regular mammos so now I'll start nagging you. I have never felt any pain with them. But a colonoscopy would scare the bejeezus out of me! It's never been suggested that I have one but that's par for the course with drs up here. You'll do fine ... hugs, Cait doctor appt today I was so bummed out when I got there because they said my doc wasn't there! Turns out she was air flighted to Phoenix for emergency back surgery yesterday. They said they brought in a PA from sdale to see Dr. J's patients for the next few months. I almost walked out but I decided to stay. I was seen first my a medical student from the U.of A. med school. She was great and seemed excited to get to do a neuro exam:) lol The PA wants me to have a chest xray because of my chronic cough. She also wants to have xrays on my lower back due to the pain I'm having. She feels stumped by the pain and soreness I described because her exam showed no reason for it that she could identify. She also will refer me for a mammogram. And the biggie for me is she wants me to have a colonscopy! I have refused to have one before because I'm a huge wimp. But I guess I will follow through this time. The lower back pain is getting pretty bad for me. Something is wrong. I have made a habit of refusing medical tests over the years. Right or wrong --that's the way I am. I hope it wasn't a mistake to refuse all these years, you know? Before my appointment I went to Walmart for my monthly shopping trip. I had my hair cut at the salon when I first got there so now I feel human again. lol hugs to eachSharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
