Guest guest
I am a 60+ year old triathlete who may be a good candidate for hip resurfacing. What are my chances of returning to the sport? Anyone out there with similar experiences?
Guest guest
If the rest of your muscular skeletal system is up to it, you can definitely resume triathlons after resurfacing. I've had both hips resurfaced with the C+ from Medical Tech. - I'm in my 7th year on one and the 12th week on the other. I have no physical limitations from the implants. I'll be 57 in a few days, and based on my experience, it takes about 6 - 9 months following surgery to resume tinmans and closer to a year for ironmans. My advice at this stage is to do your homework and choose your surgeon carefully. Dave > I am a 60+ year old triathlete who may be a good candidate for hip > resurfacing.
