Hi all --

Got back from my doctor's appointment.

It seemed to go well. The doctor had actually heard of EDS and had actually

seen a few patients with it. I gave him the VEDS CD Rom and told him he was

welcome to watch it, but that the CD had scared the wits out of the last doctor

(hehehehe!!!!!!!!)

Well, he wants to do some more tests (yuck!!) -- wants me checked again for

c-dificle and a blood test to see if I have mild celiac sprue (sp?). He said it

was interesting that the last time I was on antibiotics (for my toe a couple of

months ago), my intestines felt better and I felt normal for a while. He also

has scheduled an upper GI barium test to check my small intestines (he couldn't

believe no one had looked at the small intestine yet). He was talking about a

" bacterial overflow " - which I guess is a bacteria backup from the large

intestine into the small (where it is not supposed to be). That's scheduled for

June 22 and then I'll see him a few days after that. Oh, and he kept asking if I

was on well water (which I am)?????

All in all, I think the meeting went well. We seemed to communicate well and

talked about alot of different areas -- diet and different things we can look at

in that area if all the tests show everything is normal.

And not to be outdone, my cardiologist has scheduled my nuclear stress test on

July 6 (as he said I have many small symptoms, and he doesn't like it -- oh

well!!!). He is also going to have me wear a monitor for a while to check the

palpitations I get almost daily. If I'm repeating, I'm sorry. Too many things

on my mind, I guess.

Best wishes to everyone ---

Love, Patti
