Guest guest
I used to be a surfer in Durban, South Africa, until the age of 16, when my dad (wisely) told me to get out of the sun before I got skin cancer. Turned out I ceveloped a malignant melanoma which was removed in 1986 but no worries; all gone. Let's hear from Edith. Guest guest
Definitely. In fact I've already made inquiries with Blue Cross of CA and they've told me tentatively out of guilt for not covering me, they're prepared to cover all airfares for the whole group so long as we leave from Mordor, i.e. LAX. This should please Steve immensely. They do need to check with management, though, and will get back to me. I'll keep you informed. Guest guest
Just kidding Steve. Those folks wouldn't have given me ice in winter. Heavy sarcasm was intended. Guest guest
Sure. Blue Cross doesn't know which way to turn with all the guilt they feel about stiffing us. They'll even waive the deductible! ;-) In a message dated 5/6/2004 8:24:54 PM Pacific Daylight Time, sog@... writes: Can we get the LAOH roving drug dealer to play " La Cucaracha " from the tarmac as a send-off? Guest guest
Hi Guys, Sadly the waves of Surfers Paradise Australia are a good 1000 miles from me..........smile.......... I am parked beside the Great Barrier Reef........... it stops those big waves and having not grown up with them I find them somewhat terrifying............ The Reef does have its own wonders to offer of a different kind....... though doesn't have quite that ring too it when coupled with our operations does it................smile. Surfers is one long strip of holiday orientated extravangza......... I went down last year late March for a conference it was quite beautiful scenery wise.........though I think the water may have been a bit cold for most by then......... getting into our autumn........... I suspect late Nov or late Feb may be better............ Edith > Now your talking my language. Those of us who surf will not oppose > that choice.
