Guest guest
Jo -- I am so sorry all this has been happening to you. I hope your wrist improves soon and I will be keeping you in my prayers and thoughts. Love, Patti Absence apologies again! Sorry I haven't been around again, I had three vessels in my right wrist burst on Wednesday evening and ended up spending 4 hours in the hospital being monitored and having my blood work checked. My clotting factors are a little low again, but they think it may have been my IV line that has weakened the veins further casing such a large bleed. I have been splinted and iced for the pas few days trying to relieve the " bulges " in my veins and thankfully I've had no more bleeds. The main worry though is a very painful lump on the side of my wrist which we fear may be a thrombosis or aneurysm. I'm hoping to have my doctor check it out tomorrow, but have to confess I am rather scared at present. My shoulder is continuing to be painful and sublux slightly. I see Mac on Wednesday, so I know he will take great care to find out what is happening, be completely honest with me and hopefully reassure me. I actually saw Mac and his registrar while I was in ER on Wednesday, both of them concerned I had injured my shoulder! They went out of their way to come see me and were very concerned about my wrist, even pulling strings to find my results. I was very grateful to them for caring enough to spend time checking I was okay...they didn't have to do that after a long day in their own clinic. As I've said before though, Mac is incredibly protective of me...it's almost like having an extra parent on hand! Anyway, I had better go as I need to rest and ice my wrist again. I promise I will let you know how things go as and when I get to know anything about my current Odd Bod rebels. Please know that I am thinking of you, keeping you all in my prayers and counting myself extremely lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. Love and hugs....Jo xxx To learn more about EDS, visit our website: http://www.ehlersdanlos.ca
