I never had one before that one that hurt. It came back normal, but I do think I have fibrocystic breasts as that left one feels like there is a lump in there that will ache once in awhile. But that has been there a long time and the other techs were careful not to “squeeze†too tight. Yeah I didn’t even think about the red dye showing up, and the instructions didn’t say what kind to avoid. They probably thought they didn’t need to put something so obvious on their do’s and don’ts list. I know I should get in and have one, but the last one I thought my boob would POP! It really hurt. Lol… [sorry guys], I haven’t had a colonoscopy either, but Steve, his sister and brother have and they say the worst part is the prep. The night before. And they do have a packet of pills you can take plus a fizzy packet which is a lot better than the GO-Lytly gal jug. You go anything but lightly!! And it taste awful. I made the mistake when I had to prep for another test, and chose the drink, and so I thought I would try and mask the flavor by mixing it with Kool-Aid which they said you could. Well dumb me, I used RED cherry, and by the end of the cleaning out, it was bright red and I thought I was bleeding! Lol….then I realized it was the Kool-Aid. Geesh! I have always had them regularly but did skip last year. A colonscopy is a big fear of mine. I have always refused them before. My lower back pain is still here as always but it's probably lesions on my spine. And no, I won't go for an MRI. I didn't realize you weren't getting regular mammos so now I'll start nagging you. I have never felt any pain with them. But a colonoscopy would scare the bejeezus out of me! It's never been suggested that I have one but that's par for the course with drs up here. You'll do fine :) ... hugs, Cait doctor appt today I was so bummed out when I got there because they said my doc wasn't there! Turns out she was air flighted to Phoenix for emergency back surgery yesterday. They said they brought in a PA from sdale to see Dr. J's patients for the next few months. I almost walked out but I decided to stay. I was seen first my a medical student from the U.of A. med school. She was great and seemed excited to get to do a neuro exam:) lol The PA wants me to have a chest xray because of my chronic cough. She also wants to have xrays on my lower back due to the pain I'm having. She feels stumped by the pain and soreness I described because her exam showed no reason for it that she could identify. She also will refer me for a mammogram. And the biggie for me is she wants me to have a colonscopy! I have refused to have one before because I'm a huge wimp. But I guess I will follow through this time. The lower back pain is getting pretty bad for me. Something is wrong. I have made a habit of refusing medical tests over the years. Right or wrong --that's the way I am. I hope it wasn't a mistake to refuse all these years, you know? Before my appointment I went to Walmart for my monthly shopping trip. I had my hair cut at the salon when I first got there so now I feel human again. lol hugs to each SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. I know you don't need (or want) me to tell you that you need to go get a mammogram. I do think you should try again and go to a different tech. Perhaps if you tell them you haven't been in a few years because the tech had hurt you so badly. It's worth a try. hugs to you from your friend who hasn't had a mammogram in two years:)lol SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
