Guest guest
Jim: I saw Dr. s in October 02 - at the time, he had only done 37 resurfacings and his staff wanted me to act as liasion with my insurance company. Dr. Mont is much more experienced in the procedure, but his staff is another story. > Does anyone else have any experience and/or an opinion about Dr. > s at Good Samaritian Hospital in Balto. Md.? Guest guest
Proud and happy to say, if memory serves, that I was number 32 for Dr. s resurfacing; while relatively new to the procedure at the time, he had been chosen by Corin for the trial because of his renown in the area of hemisurfacing. I believe he's done much closer to 100 resurfacings now. I had no dealings with my insurance company; everything was handled by Dr. s's staff and there were no problems. Also, he was very responsive to all my initial questions and promptly called me back any time I had follow-up questions post-surgery. He's got a great personality, which is unusual for a surgeon and I actually look forward to the 4-hr drive to Baltimore to see him. Guest guest
Hi: Regarding Dr. s, I would echo everything that Maureen said. I was resurfaced on 9/5/02, so I was probably his 20th or so. Had no problems with insurance, either, and everything went great. I am now discussing with him when to get the other hip done. Soon, I hope!
