1. We have the ability to give if needed only while our supplies last. Who knows

how long that will last.

2. Since we don't run to many calls, we don't use much. In fact I could have

only used it once or twice in the past year.

3. Not at this time.

A few questions for the list members for an article I'm trying to finish up:

1. How many of your agencies have recently removed furosemide from the

CHF protocols, or at the least de-emphasized its use or made it by

medical command only?

2. How many of you have been affected by a shortage of furosemide? If

so, did availability play a role in removing it from your protocols?

3. Are any of you using ACE inhibitors in the field for acute CHF and

pulmonary edema?

1. We removed lasix a few years ago and began to emphasize the use nitrates.

2. Not at all.

3. We began to use enalapril a few years ago, but only with online medical

direction.
