,

Thanks for the kind words, and the wise ones about the ethics of all

this.

I raised a daughter of whom I'm extremely proud, because she learned

the one lesson I always told her was most important: The truth is

the only thing you'll never have to apologize for.

I couldn't ever lie...or lie allow a lie...about the type of

procedure and device. First, it's not honest, and that matters

most. But even if that didn't matter as much as it does, there are

some serious legal and liability issues. As a few for instances: 1)

Let's say something goes wrong with the resurf device, and the

Company finds out I didn't get what they agreed to pay for. They

could probably refuse to pay for...or cover...an hip-related medical

issues for the rest of my life; including revisions and repairs. 2)

If they had paid for a something that wasn't what they agreed to pay

for, they'd certainly have legal legs to demand repayment...from me.

3) Given the amounts of money involved, I would think the right kind

of complaint might even open me up to criminal fraud charges. I

think I'd rather just go to Ghent.

Anyway, I'm now 9 to 10 business days (they sayd) away from a

decision. But I'm beginning the process to get to Belgium.

Hobble on, Hippies...
