Guest guest
Hi TinaI understand the freezing feet! As soon as the weather cools off in the fall my feet become ice cubes. The cold makes my toes burn and ache. I wear little slipper socks and regular slippers over it and my feet are still cold. Have you ever seen the aloe infused socks in the foot care area of the store? I have several pair. They are very, very soft and comfy. Is the 40's you mentioned your high temp? I would imagine so. Our weather is bouncing around. We had a week of 40s for the high and then it was 50s and a few days of 60s. Our coldest overnight low so far this fall was 17 yesterday morning. We are using our fireplace and the wood stove more and more. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. We had a brief warm up for Thanksgiving (just turkey day, back to cooler temps the day after) so I have dragged out all my cold weather gear. But this leaves me with a dilema - around the house, I normally don't wear shoes, I get some issues with tendons or ligaments, or something, but it can become painful....but now my feet are freezing. I'm asking hubby for slippers for Christmas. As long as the ones he gets don't make my feet sweat, that should be a good compromise. We had to have a new thermostat installed last month or so - and we have a regular digital thermometer. The two disagree on the temperature it is (the digital thermometer is sitting right on top of the thermostat). I tend to believe the digital thermometer, because 70 degrees according to the thermostat feels colder than 70 degrees did last year. Tina I am freezing. It's not that cold here but I have been shivering and shaking for a week or more. My fingers are icy, my feet are icy... even my nose is icy:) I need one of those nose warmers like in the photo I sent to Jackie! lol Today it was 54 for a high. The low temps have been hovering around 32 but I feel like it's 10 minus. I talked today with my brother, Chuck, who lives in Alaska. He said it was 1 degree this morning. He is thinking about moving back to warmer country, he said. He thought of it last winter, too. But during the summer he is happy. As cold as I am here can you imagine what it would be if I had staying in Alaska!?! I've been shopping online for my 8 grandkids for Christmas. Some of my grandkids are bookworms and I enjoy searching for good deals on special books for them. Thankfully the bookworms are fine with getting used books so I hunt Ebay for screaming bargains on the books they want. My 15 year old granddaughter is not into reading so she's a little harder. What's new with all of you?hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
That's true Reb. The actual temperature is only one facet of the cold feeling. We have a lot of wind here where I live and the moisture is high most of the winter. Last week it was 50 degrees F and I was freezing and shaking. lololhugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. (Sharon's reply) On the subject of cold feet, have you seen these microwaveble slippers: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Slippies-Blue-Medium-Microwave-Slippers/dp/B000N7Z9JC We are giving my mother a pair for Christmas, she is one of those people who are never warm enough. Maybe with these she might be...It seems cold can be a very relative thing. In the sense that how much you freeze is not only about the temperature. I know that I freeze worse during the winters here in the south of Sweden, where temperatures only seldom go below 30F, than I ever did when I lived further north, where around 0 F was a fairly normal winter temperature (and it could go lower than that on a really cold day). Our neighbor, who is from Lapland (really far north!), says the same thing. I think factors such as wind and humidity can be at least as important factors as temperature, when it comes to how cold it feels.love/Reb> > > > > >I am freezing.
