Thank you Debbie! I think we do need a way to find each other. I was

wondering how we where going to do that in such a big crowd. Now, how to find

you to get the tags? ........ Maybe, they'll let them sit on the front desk,

or a table somewhere. There has to other groups trying to find each other too.

Maybe Sue Grinley could find out for us, she's on the conferance commity. The

pictures are a great idea too!.

Hi Debbi and others,

I'll be bringing my new digital camera with only one memory chip, but

I got an X's drive and a 15 GB HD for it, so I can store 15GB worth

of digital pictures. That is a lot of pictures. The camera has 5.3

Megapixels, so it should be quite high quality pictures. So I was

thinking of taking pics of overhead transparents, slides etc. at

lectures, which I hopefully can use text recognition software on

afterwards, so it can be turned into notes...

With everything people will be doing, altogether I am sure that the

notes etc. from this year's conference will be great!!!

PS! I think the idea of a little sticker, colored star or something

like that to put on the ID tags, is a great idea... It can't be too

big though if it is going on the ID tag. But we could also have some

sort of button to put on in addition to the ID tag. At a medical

convention I was at recently, we all got a button with VIP on it if

we left our name and address with a pharmaceutical company. The

button gave the right to use their VIP lounge where they had free

serving of wine, beer, soft drinks, fruit etc. all day long... When

we go for climate treatment abroad here, we get a bright yellow

button with a sun logo on it. We put these on to recognize others who

are going at the airport, so that you don't feel so alone and can

team up with others if you don't know anybody from before, if you are

going for the first time etc... Works just great. Would anything like

that be easy to find over there? The ones I am thinking of, aren't

the big round ones, they have a maybe 1 " diameter... Just an idea...

It's already past midnight. I have to get up at 6, to go to work

early because I have to go at 12:30 to leave for the airport. I am

going to a European Pso. meeting in Helsinki, Finland this weekend. I

think even some from the US are coming this time, even if it is a

European meeting...

I am making ones with CEDA for those folks that are going to the conference.

Hum. as long as I am . hum.. It just dawned on me that there might be those

who would want such a pin even though they may not be able to go to the

conference.

Anyway. I am making those and also I am making ones with a pink flamingo for

us SoCal EDSers too.

I know you are not going to be able to go to the conference but I will have

a pink flamingo pin made for you too.
