Guest guest
Yes, he was hilariously funny. He could have been a stand-up comedian. He loved to " put people on " who didn't know him and play the redneck hillbilly. He was also very smart and knew his medicine. Sometimes when we would have a serious accident or medical call, he would have to respond from his auto repair shop looking something like " Pig Pen " from Peanuts. That's what sometimes happens in volunteer services. I remember times when we had an critical patients that he was lead on, and the nurse and doctor were giving him the evil eye because of his appearance he astounded them with his report. He was perfectly capable of saying things like, " This patient has an inferior MI with right ventricular extension " and he was right. He fixed my cars and trucks for 20 years at least and always did a great job. He and his dad ran the wrecker service for decades and before we had a rescue squad they would respond and use their air chisel and other tools to help us extricate. He wasn't well known outside Fannin County, TX, but those who knew him will never forget him.
