FOR THOSE WHO WORK FULL-TIME: registration fees of $25 are available for one

day conference passes Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. See the itinerary and

course descriptions for trainings and workshops that best fit your needs. Only

the CPR/AED/First Aid class on Tuesday will require an additional fee ($20), all

others are free with registration.

* The cost of the American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid course is

normally $75. A $40 negotiated conference fee will be underwritten by Texas VOAD

and Texas Citizen Corps bringing your cost to $20! Two year certifications in

First Aid, Infant, Child, and Adult CPR, and AED will be issued (Tuesday

8:30-4:30).

* After the recent pipeline explosion in our region, learn more about

the miles of dangerous pipelines running beneath our state by attending the Dawn

Smalley Foundation presentation on Pipeline Safety (Wed. 10.30-12:00).

* For those trained or training to assist with incidents until first

responders arrive, accidents (as well as events) often involve traffic. Learn

about basic traffic safety and management at the Traffic workshops on Thursday

10:30-12:00 (part I) and 1:30 to 3:00 (part II).

* Classes in Weapons of Mass Destruction, Psychological First Aid, Red

Cross Shelter Boot Camp, Terrorism, Volunteer Management, Liability Issues,

Animals in Disaster, Long Term Recovery and many more are available.

See you at the Fairmont next week; have a great week ahead!
