Guest guest
I think both Behnam and said rather sensible things. One one hand, it is certainly true that we should avoid " advertising " (in either positive or negative ways) this or that surgeon. However, on the other hand, I think it would not be right to somehow " repress " people's desire to share their feelings, expectations, joys, praises, or even delusions and complaints about this or that surgeon. After all, many of us in here did eventually decide to get resurfed and and by whom through reading the posts in this Group! Personally, I took 's " pressure thing " just for what she said it was: a joking way to tell us that she's trying her best to come to a decision about her own resurfing and, if possible, she would like to join our August band " in Belgium (let alone the fact that we DESPERATELY need a good singer! LOL). As for me, since going for THR never looked convincing enough for someone my age, I started looking for possible alternatives. That's how I learned about yhe existence of resurfacing, that's how I found out about this wonderful Group and, ultimately, that's how I realized that I luckily live just SO close to Dr. De Smet! I do believe that life has its own ways to " show us " the road we're supposed to follow. But then its' up to us to have " good enough eyes " to actually SEE that road! Well, my own sequence of events somehow " told me " that I was supposed to go for resurfacing and that I should have it done by De Smet. I am certainly not advertising him (he doesn't need it, anyway) but I am definitely happy to be able to share my own feelings about thise whole thing with people in this Group:-)) Have a nice rest of your day, YA'ALL!
