I usually listen to Glenn Beck's radio program but I didn't today so I have no first-hand knowledge. I can't defend or explain since I didn't hear it. I heard that it was the controlling party's youth camp, which in Norway is a bit socialist, to be sure - there are socialist bits to many European countries - socialist doesn't mean communist.  They have socialized health care, etc.  I respect Beck's right to say what he wants, but in all truth, he needs to be more sensitive, since he knows nothing about it.

For that matter, how are kids attending a Labor Party camp any different

from American kids attending Beck's " 9/12 " camps?

And guess what - even if this had been the 40s and these were actual

Hitler Youth, still no excuse to murder the defenseless.

There is no difference. It was a terrible tragedy for the youth camp and the city bombing victims as well. It's a summer camp for the Labor Party in Norway, which is a leading party. I listened to a recording of Glenn Beck's comments yesterday. He starts by berating others for initially thinking this was a Muslim extremist attack; then, compares the Norwegian Labor Party youth camp to Hitler Youth & adds that it's disturbing (even though Glenn has his own political summer camp); & then boasts he warned us all this would happen because of "evil" Muslim radicals who are "squeezing the neck of Europe."

Glenn is very good playing the bully who makes himself out to be the victim. Many times I've heard him moan something to the effect: "I warned you all. I warned you. And, you all laughed at me. And, now I'm right."Dan U dao_nguu@...
