Guest guest
OUCH!!! If hubby laughs at you, I'll punch him for you OK? I take it that your dog is OK? Sounds like you got tore up pretty bad. :~( Ouch Ouch Ouch. Cindylouwho Friday the 13th strikes again... I've been off-line except for a few minutes last night because I had an accident on Friday. I managed to trip over my dog's wire pen (8 panels of wire hinged together that can be formed into a circular or square pen), had the entire thing flip up into the air and collapse around me. So, now my right leg looks like I was attacked by Freddy Kruger from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies with many long deep scratches on the side of the calf as well as the back of my thigh, I have several bruises on my leg that are the size of my entire hand, and a hole about the size of a quarter on the bottom of my foot. Of course, the cut is on the same foot as my bad ankle, and since it is on the bottom of my foot (near my little toe) I have to walk on my heel with my toes pulled up in the air, which is a position my ankle does NOT like to be in. So, it is killing me and has swelled up like a sausage and all the muscles in both of my legs and hips are sore due to limping around. At least it appears that I didn't break or sprain anything, and the fall could have been so much worse. It was just so frustrating to feel like a total klutz yet again! And my supportive husband was sad that he wasn't home when it happened... not so that he could have helped me, but he thought it would be funny to see me trapped in the collapsed pen. What a guy, right?! (Of course, joking is his way of dealing with being worried about me.) Anyway, thanks for letting me ramble on... I know that has to hurt. I also know about the added pain for having to compensate for one bad let/foot/knee and making the other side hurt like heck. In that situation now....lol I twisted my left ankle walking down some steps....Talk about klutzy.....lol It just decided to give out. And to think....This was my GOOD ankle.....lol SO now my bad leg is hurting even more cause I'm having to put more weight and stuff on it and it's Throwing out my back making my back hurt and so on.....LOL Also with your husband joking like that. Mine does the same. Even before we found out about the EDS and my other health issues. It helps me to keep going as well. I hope your feeling better today. Guest guest
Debbi, Cindy, and Grace, Thanks for your replies and warm wishes for me to feel better. I appreciate it! While the wound on my foot and my ankle are still sore and achy, the scrapes are starting to heal and my bruises are turning yellow and green, so they, too, are healing. My hubby is helping out a lot, so Cindy, I don't need you to punch him, but thinks for the offer. As for the Klutz club, I vote we name it the International Klutz Society (IKS for short) and any CEDA member is welcome to join, and I think perhaps poor Jo should be elected to office (you know that was said out of love, right Jo?). What do you all think?

Guest guest
Yeah, Jo, I hate to say it, but I think you probably have honorary membership! LOL! After all, if we can't laugh, what CAN we do, right??? Actually, I bet you could probably add MOST of us - you know, it's that procept???/xla;sdfl - you know, that place that none of us can find, when our muscles won't let us know where we are??? God, I'm not making ANY sense here, can you tell I need a break??? LOL Sorry! Anyway, just add my name to it too, I'm always running into things, I'm just a little more glued than some of you. Sorry to hear about your own boo boo's !! Hang in there, even if it's by a thread!] Love Lana > Debbi, Cindy, and Grace, > > Thanks for your replies and warm wishes for me to feel better. Guest guest
Lana, is proprioception the word you were hunting for? The weird thing is I was a dancer for most of my life, and I always knew where my arms and legs were whenever I was dancing. It's getting through normal life when I can't figure out where my body is in space!! And I want to know who invented the invisible rocks that I always seem to trip over (and who spreads them in my pathways?). Debbi - I bet your toe does look lovely. If you can't find a diamond toe ring to emhasize it, perhaps some glitter would look fab. At the end of July, I managed to get a bruise on my hip that simultaneously had all colors of the rainbow (literally, plus black) represented. Well, maybe not indigo... not really sure exactly what indigo looks like, but it did have blue and purple, red, orange, yellow and green! I though it was quite lovely, but my husband thought it was disgusting! > > Debbi, Cindy, and Grace, > > > > Thanks for your replies and warm wishes for me to feel better. I > > appreciate it!
