Tonight is New Years Eve and we have a rush inthe house. We will have a huge dinner at my mom but everything is prepared at my house. I am the director telling the things to be done...

We will be 12 people at the table, mom, me and my husband, my uncles wife, my cousins and their husbands, their two sons, my Georgian helper and her daughter and grand daughter coming from Batumi.

Our main dish is turkey stuffed with rice and lots of spicesand chestnuts.

Now I have to go and give directions...

It's going to be quite different this year. Only 1 of my 4 kids will be here.My son, Luke almost 18, and his girlfriend will be here at home.Kara, Lia, and will all be at friends' homes. Lloyd made sausage, onions and peppers for dinner. We have a bunch of munchy-type stuff like breaded mozzarella sticks, pigs in a blanket, etc. that we'll cook up later on. He also picked us up a bottle of raspberry beer---it is my absolute favorite alcoholic drink besides white zinfandel and margaritas! lol. We'll probably play Scrabble on his IPad and wait for the ball to drop. Tomorrow there are very few things in the works; perhaps I'll push to have the tree taken down, but I'll probably be nixed on that til the following weekend. We do need to start planning a 12th birthday party for my son, , whose birthday is this
