I'm thinking that Doris is the one who's e-mail addy came up as

woodfordad@... on ceda, & yet hoping it is not so, but it must be her,

from what you say.

I have several of her e-mails printed out, as I was writing to ceda about

Chiari 1 malformation in 2001, & she wrote back that her son had this, & was

considering that she also might be affected by this, as well as EDS, & she

wrote to the list how she " just threw everything that came in from the list

that seemed to work for me " to her PC, about Chiari. I remember her posts as

being so forthright, yet written with great humour, & understanding...I'm so

sorry I didn't print them all out, but I well remember her, & am saddened to

hear of her death. I'm sorry for her family's loss, & yours, but am so

pleased that you got to know her more, whilst appreciating your loss too. I

know I'll never forget her.

I only learnt your name when Cindy H. from the ceda list wrote that your Mum

had died. However, I've known about you from your Mum's lovely, quirky,

humorous messages to ceda, which I remember reading so well in 2001; I have

several printed out. There is no consolation in the loss of your Mum, but

perhaps it might help a little to know how many people she reached, &

helped. I'm in the U.K., & your Mum's warmth, & humour reached me. Just

wanted to let you know she will be sadly missed by our family.

I have a regret; your Mum wanted me to write to the ceda list about Chiari,

putting that in the subject line, hoping you might read it. I didn't; I

didn't know enough back then to tell you. I now know that some Drs. in the

USA have found an association between Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, & Chiari 1

malformation. Perhaps later you will consider looking into this. Please

e-mail me if, & when, you'd like to know more.

I am so sorry to here of the loss of your Mum; a wonderful lady, whom I feel

privileged to have known through the ceda list,
