Guest guest
After two days of throwing up, I took Dot to the vet yesterday. Turns out she's having digestive problems probably related to gastric reflux. She's on a short course of Tagamet to see if it helps...despite the fact that she behaved (so beautifully I wonder how I raised her), I am now -- so tired. And I get to force-feed her pills for a week. Arg. At least she's forgiving, and seems to understand all this made her feel better. Liz the aging diva, who normally goes to the vet, disappeared the instant I picked up the carrier. The others were really curious about why Dot got to go someplace with me...I AM tired. I'm babbling about my cats. I get to go through another sleep study, and i'm having a hell of a time with the CPAP mask. The temperature's been around 100 in the city which means the mask is twice as annoying as normal. They want to find out if CPAP's helping -- with central apnea, there's a good chance it isn't. Originally, I pushed to get the CPAP, figuring it was better than NO treatment. I don't feel that way anymore. I think it's time to face the fact it isn't helping a bit...how can I forget to breathe? Talk about self-destructive.
Guest guest
Mark~~ My dad has central apnea too. He hates the masque and will not wear it. My mom nudges him every once and a while and that seems to be working! He will be 73 this year so there IS hope after the masque!
