I was washed with one soap for everything. Yick :-). Toward the end of my therapy they let me go next door to Taco Bell Restaurant for a taco. It was heaven after weeks of hospital meals. Then I found it was a test of " activities of daily living. " Did I look both ways crossing the parking lot? Did I take too long at the counter? Did I still know how to give the correct money and make change? And when we got back did I remember how much I spent, etc. Oh well, I passed I supposed. I craved tacos until I got out :-(. It is good to have my freedom back and the stoke *was* a BIG scare. I never knew how much we depend on our muscles. All went well with my therapy except for the pelvis. My right knee want to go sideways too much. My right foot wants to turn in on it self. Loose ligaments. The therapist did not have a clue. I move and walk okay but in my head I feel like a puppet or rag dog. I feel l am jerking but my movements are smooth. I personally feel the stretchy collagen has something to do with it. As usual, there is no research on EDS folks and stoke recovery. If I am to go by my father he had at least four stokes. His big problem was diabetes which I do not have. In the end he recovered full movement [each stroke] of his body. He could walk but didn't. So, I do NOT want to go there. I will keep exercising to be all that I can be. I plan to practice my penmanship, then my arts and crafts and finally find out if I stiff got my art ability. One funny thing, they had me so medicated in the beginning that one day I " EDS " slipped down in my wheelchair and scared the therapists. To me if was normal. A new EDS position I supposed. I couldn't take it any more and felt I had to flatten out. They all jumped up thing I was slipping to the floor. Caro
