Guest guest
Will... I'm still waiting to find out if...or how much...my insurance will pay for. A month after my consultation at JRI, they've not heard from the carrier, although Nikki did tell me it could 30 to 60 days. The first thing Dr. Amstutz mentioned when he saw my x-rays was the presence of osteophytes. Soon as I got home, I went on-line to learn everything I could about them. The part you mentioned about the muscles growing to compensate and protect the joint seems exactly what happened to me. A couple of cold laser treatments seemed to have forced the compensating muscles to relax...and that finally allowed the joint to fall into bone-on-bone contact. All the parts of your story certainly fit with my experience. So..I'll head into my eventual resurf not expecting to the dancing the frug the morning after. Hobble on Hippy...(by the by...where in the world (geographically speaking) are you. some clues in your postings suggest somewhere ini the uk) Alan > Hi Alan > > I knew they were some sort of 'phites' but you have > got the right name.
