Thanks for the reply and it would be nice to hear from

you - feel free to email as it would be nice to have a

chat. The friarage hospital is a warm, friendly place

and has some good consultants, a bit different to the

two hospitals here in Leeds.

Sorry I've been off-line for a few days. Didn't see your original

post, but I am a surface hippy from northern England. Had my right

hip done on the NHS at York District Hospital on the 12th May this

year by Mr Jain. 2 and a bit weeks post-op I am doing well. My

treatment was excellent by all the staff at YDH (except the catering

staff!) Interestingly York District Hospital is supposed to be one

of the most MRSA-infested hospitals in the UK. I didn't get it,

although I think haveing a latex allergy helped cos everyone had to

change to different gloves when dealing with me, and wash their

hands very thoruoghly etc. I was out of hospital 3 days post-op. The

other really good thing is that I was only on the waiting list for

about 5 months, much shorter than i expected. Feel free to e-mail me
