Dear Dave.

I had a hip resurfacing done exactly a week ago today by Mr Lucas Van Vuuren

at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. The Surgeon and his team were

excellent and the nursing staff were lovely. They looked after me with great

compassion and skill . One week on I am still sore from the operation but

have no arthritic pain. It is wonderful. I can reccomend it!!

Alan, Thanks for your reply, it's nearly a week since

i posted the message and was beginning to think people

in the nE of england dont get bad hips. I'm a native

of northallerton but am now living in W.Yorks. It

would be nice to have a proper chat with some who has

had it done.

Thanks for the reply and it would be nice to hear from

you - feel free to email as it would be nice to have a

chat. The friarage hospital is a warm, friendly place

and has some good consultants, a bit different to the

two hospitals here in Leeds.
