Guest guest
, I'm not the Cindy you mentioned (I don't think anyhow), but I've had an IT band transfer and repositioning, with a donor tendon, at the knee. This was done about 20 years ago. I believe yours is at the hip- if I recall right. Mine was a functional problem more so than a pain problem. I couldn't walk without holding onto the wall because my knee would dislocate. It even did it when I turned over in bed. The knee had a few reconstructive surgeries that went along with this surgery to give the knee the stability it needed. Just yesterday I found out all of that is shot now-on top of the need of a total knee done at some point. But I did have those 20 years without the problems. From 34 -54 yrs. :D Hope your IT band issues can be corrected to that point. If you remember what it's called that's causing the IT band problems, I'd like to know. Good luck in getting some relief from this constant problem, CindyH Wisc. ~~~ From: Pedersen I was writing to Cindy. I did not know you have ITB problems and I would love to talk (write) about it with you. I do not have IT Band Syndrome though, they believe it comes from the other problem they know I have but cannot figure out what it is.
