Prednisone varies: for a flare, my neurologist usually startshigh, perhaps 30-50 mgs. per day, then tapering off by one ortwo tablets each two days. Now I am wondering if the knee/leg pain was due to MS. The knee/leg is getting better and I am able to put a little weight on it. But now both legs feel like they have been dipped in fire and ice at the same time. I am still using the crutch and it is helping immensely. The burning/freezing is from above the knees to the toes. The worst areas are around my ankles and upper feet. It is bilateral. At least I can walk a little better. hugs SharonThis
