Guest guest
..Like no from me too. Words aren't going to cure my 60 years of claustrophobia. I Have Recieved Medical Attention! I have been, and made it back alive - so far! ;-) Good news - really liked the Dr and NP.Good news - heart, lungs, BP, innards, all seem to be functioning asadvertised. Yay! Also good news - I can be referred for dental, optometric, etc, care thatwe haven't been able to afford. Yay! The not-so-good news - she wants me in the MRI machine as soon aspossible, and she mentioned that myasthenia gravis IS a possibility, alongwith MS or TIAs... So the first hurdle is hurdled, just gotta go Mon for fasting bloodwork, etc. Whew.T in WY Practical Blackwork Designs http://practicalblackwork.comhttp://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com "You get a wonderful view from the point of no return..." ------------------------------------

Guest guest
I think you said the doc is giving you medication for the MRI? Do you mean valium for before? If you are claustrophobic at all you might want to take valium just before. It's noisy with all sorts of banging and tapping. But honestly I don't mind it that much. Sometimes I am more nervous for whatever reason and I take valium. Other times I don't need it. Mostly it hurts my back to lay on that hard "bed". It's a piece of cake! Don't worry about it. big hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Is it a brain MRI only? Often they start with the MRI of the spine and neck. I've always wondered why they don't just do the brain MRI and get it over with:) SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Yep, get some happy meds first... I have no real idea if I'm claustrophobic, guess we'll find out! I am worried about having to lie still on my back, though - for the last couple of years I've been kind of stuck in a " swayback " and lying on my back hurts like hell, and I can't be still for any length of time.
