trying to get a power chair or scooter

HI everyone I was just woundering if anyone here has a powerchair or

a type of scooter. And if so how did you go about getting it? I am

only 19 but with having an unknown type of EDS I am having more

trouble getting around and I cant use my regular wheelchair because

wheeling it causes my wrists, shoulders and fingers to dislocate. I

have Medicaid insurance it's my primary then I have Sagamore through

my dad who works at Toyota then I have criple Children insurance. I

tried through the Rascal scooter foundation and they said they didnt

take medicaid only maedicare. i havent said anything to my

orthopedic Dr yet he is very understanding and knows I have trouble

getting around I was just curious though if anyone else has had any

luck or would have a suggestion I'm willing to try anything.

Hi Crystal, Yes Dylan's chair will be here in the week couple weeks. He has Blue

Cross/Blue Shield insurance, and Crippled Children's. The private insurance did

all the fighting and complaining, Crippled Children's never said a thing. The

state insurance covered 60% of the bill. Write me in private and I'll tell you

all the details. I've already told the board how it came about so I don't want

to bore them with all the details again. c-clark05@....
