Guest guest
thanks ever so much, l}onna...I had a great day. I DID have to go to DMV and renew my drivers license; nothing like waiting til the last minute! I went at 8:30, as soon as it opened, and it was a MAD house! I thought for sure that putting quarters in the parking meter for an hour would cover me, but I started getting nervous when the line was so slow in moving. They are fast around here with parking tickets, so one has to be careful keeping the meter full. I was able to get out in about 45/50 min., so not TOO bad, but still a place I'd rather not be on my birthday! The guy at least said happy birthday to me.After that I had my computer class, and that was til 3. I went home, checked emails, then laid down for awhile, as I knew it was going to be a long night. We went to Santa Fe, a mexican restaurant about 2 towns away. It was TORRENTIAL rain, and the traffic moved ever so slowly. Thunder, lightning, the whole bit. My brother and his wife, and sister and her boyfriend all met there and we had a wonderful evening of laughter and good food.Went home with family--my kids and hub--and had cheesecake and gifts. I got a combo waffle/omelet/donut/grilled cheese maker. Pretty cool. Also got an Olympus digital with excellent zoom, which is what I had wanted. After all this, we watched The Bird Cage with Robin and Lane--absolutely hysterical. Saw this on streaming Netflix. Pooped out right after the movie; bout 11:00 or so. Are n't ya glad you asked about my birthday? NOT!love to you,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Sat, July 9, 2011 7:50:09 AMSubject: Happy Belated Birthday Kate! I hope that you had a special day! and I'm sorry that I missed sending you greetings on that day. I was wrapped up in watching the trial on live.cnn.com (got to watch the whole thing, not just what the media chose to show, or cut short because their time slot was finished).. THEN I got lambasted with a ton of paperwork to do for the funeral home. As I posted on my facebook status a few days ago, "It's easy to do someone's job in half the time, when you only do half their job".. I do hope you had a wonderful day!HUGS|)onna

Guest guest
Wow, Kate, it sounds like you had a busy, but pleasant day. Well, except for the rain and the DMV. I STILL need to go to the DMV and get my license replaced with a state ID.Tina thanks ever so much, l}onna...I had a great day. Guest guest
Sounds like it was a tremendously enjoyable (all but the DMV visit) day. At least your family remembered yours! This past year I can honestly say that didn't remember it. His niece did, and called first thing in the morning to wish me a Happy Birthday.. Then the little wench called her Uncle to remind him, before he moved deeper into the doghouse... wasn't 20 minutes after I talked to her, that he called and apologized.. said he'd been so busy that he'd forgotten what day it was.. but realized when he looked at the receipt from Home Depot when leaving the store from an errand for work.. Uh huh!.. LOL. that man NEVER looks at any receipt let alone those he brings back and hands to the person in the office..I'm glad it was a good day for you!HUGS again|)onna thanks ever so much, l}onna...I had a great day.
