Oh, she's DARLING, Rhea!!! Poor baby! I hope he's not in too much pain.

Please tell him Bucky says Woof! And give him a pat for me too! Hope he

heals completely and soon, Rhea.

Love Lana 0:-)

Raffi update, and photo added

Hi Everyone

I just put up a photo of Raffi in his leg cast on my lap. It's the

last one in the photos section here:

http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ceda/lst

He has found the afternoon more challenging and I do believe he has

actually become sick of snuggling! He gets his pain meds in 45 mins

and that always makes him sleepy, thank goodness, so he should have a

quiet evening.

I was tipped off from my Hannah's rally class trainer that there is a

very good clinic in Ottawa called Alta Vista that could handle

Raffi's case. I checked it out and they do look good with 27 vets on

staff specializing in all sorts of things including orthopaedics!

The drive will only be 1.5 hours instead of 5 hours and its in a city

we are more familiar with. I think Dad has pretty much decided to go

ahead with taking him there. We see the vet Monday and will ask for

a refferal then. He's a very nice, reasonable guy and I'm sure he

won't mind sending us on.

So that's the news on Raffi! He's resting 'fairly comfortably' but

is restless for sure and really, *really* misses fetching!

((((HUGS))))

Hi Rhea,

Had Peanut met him, she would have been in love!!!! He actually looks

a lot like her favorite, a poodle named Teddy. He is a really old,

toothless guy though, she would have had a lot of fun with Raffi,

that is for sure... Not that much with that huge cast on, but... Poor

little one... Give him lots of kisses and cuddles from Peanut and

I!!! :) I have been thinking so much about the two of you (and the

rest of the family too)... But, you got to get that girlie cast taken

care of. Poor little guy, he can get self conscious from less!!! My

suggestion would be aqua or a bright blue... Aqua would look great

with the red, curly coat, but a bright blue would be really boyish

too... You could decorate it with those cute small stickers kids love

to use scrapbooking etc... Cool, boyish ones!!!! Then the two of you

could match!!!! And yes, I am crazy enough to do such a thing. I got

braces with kid's prints on already many years ago, have had a lot of

fun picking out different ones... Why not have that when you have to

have them anyway? :)

It is really great to hear that you have found a clinic that may be

able to help him... Sending lots of positive vibes that things will

work out for that little cutie... :)

When I have bought " 4-legged " rain suits for Shanti and later Peanut,

I have wondered what kind of dogs have that long legs. I have had to

cut almost half of the sleeves off to make them right. But if the

length of Raffi's cast shows the real leg length he has, I now know

what dogs need that long sleeves, he-he... :)

hugs,

Aase Marit :) and Peanut kisses for you and Raffi too! :)
