Burst Blood Vessel & Phlebitis

Clear DayI hit my hand on the kitchen worksurface last week and thought I may

have cracked it but I didn't bother doing anything about it as it really didn't

bother me that much then in the early hours on Monday morning I woke in severe

pain. I had it x-rayed and there is no fracture but it's still very painful so I

saw my GP and I've burst a blood vessel at the base of my little finger and

developed Phlebitis. He said it will take a few weeks to heal.

I cannot understand how I do so much damage from barely anything serious. I

tried to sign and credit card purchase and I couldn't do it accurately...I'm

left handed and it's the injured side.

Has anyone else had this type of damage ? I'm wearing a Tubigrip on it which is

easing the pain a little and using an Anti-inflammatory Gel.
