Sharon please be careful going outside. Will the kids check in with you from

time to time? Enjoy the quiet.

My son, dil and their four kids left this morning on a camping trip. They will be gone all week long. If only I had the energy to party:) lol

I am a bit concerned about taking care of the poultry. Last summer when they were gone we weren't locking up the poultry at night so I didn't have much to do. But this year we have to lock the birds up at night because of the danger. We believe the roaming dogs that killed our turkeys are still on the loose. My 15 year old granddaughter, , takes care of the birds. She was traumatized by finding the turkeys slaughtered. It was hard for her to agree to leave for a week because she fears those dogs will come and kill all the chickens and ducks. I promised and swore on my life that I would take care of the poultry and they would be fine. So I must follow through!

I have our 6 dogs with me. They follow me from room to room, nearly tripping me. All I have to do with them is fill their water dispenser and their food bowls. We have a large fenced yard so I just have to open the door for them.

I also take care of 's tropical fish and water crabs while she is gone. She left me with a long list of what to do:) I also have the 8 indoor cats and the outside barn cats. The only problem with the barn cats is a 6 week old orphaned fluffy white nearly blind kitty. The mamma kitty disappeared last Monday. is worried about the little kitty so I have to be sure it's getting kitten chow and has fresh water.

I have some books to read. It will be nice to be able to read in the quiet. This is a noisy household and quiet is hard to come by.

Wish me luck in remembering all of 's instructions:)

on my own--family gone!

My son, dil and their four kids left this morning on a camping trip.  They

will be gone all week long.  If only I had the energy to party:)  lol

I am a bit concerned about taking care of the poultry.  Last summer when

they were gone we weren't locking up the poultry at night so I didn't have

much to do.  But this year we have to lock the birds up at night because of

the danger.   We believe the roaming dogs that killed our turkeys are still

on the loose.  My 15 year old granddaughter, , takes care of the

birds.  She was traumatized by finding the turkeys slaughtered.   It was

hard for her to agree to leave for a week because she fears those dogs will

come and kill all the chickens and ducks.  I promised and swore on my life

that I would take care of the poultry and they would be fine.  So I must

follow through!

I have our 6 dogs with me.  They follow me from room to room, nearly

tripping me.  All I have to do with them is fill their water dispenser and

their food bowls.  We have a large fenced yard so I just have to open the

door for them.

I also take care of 's tropical fish and water crabs while she is

gone.   She left me with a long list of what to do:)  I also have the 8

indoor cats and the outside barn cats.  The only problem with the barn cats

is a 6  week old orphaned fluffy white nearly blind kitty.  The mamma kitty

disappeared last Monday.  is worried about the little kitty so I have

to be sure it's getting kitten chow and has fresh water.

I have some books to read.  It will be nice to be able to read in the

quiet.  This is a noisy household and quiet is hard to come by.

Wish me luck in remembering all of 's instructions:)
