I'm sure others have written about this previously, but I'm not computer

savvy enough to find those letters in the archives. Has anyone had

experience getting Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield to pay for resurfacing?

My son is tentatively scheduled for bilateral hip resurfacing with Dr. Mont

in June (AVN resulting from high dose steroids for leukemia). We're being

told by his office that it probably won't be authorized, but, ever hopeful,

I know there must be some way around this.

I'm so grateful to read other experiences on this list. They give me

comfort and hope that my son will soon be more mobile and have less pain as

he gets older. Thanks in advance for any help.
