Guest guest
Hiya I was really nervous about going in, I'd not been in hospital since I'd been a baby (when all my hip problems started) and I was really scared about what to expect. In fact I was so frightened that it did cross my mind the night before the operation when I had to stay the night in hospital that I might just leave, and not go through with it!! However - it really wasn't that bad! I don't really remember the first day after the operation when I woke up. It's all a bit hazy! I can remember slight aching in my hip bones - but nothing to shout about! (It was my time of my month at the same time and that was more painful!!). For the first couple of days I was feeling vaguely sick and didn't want to eat much and I felt vary tired and too hot a lot of the time. FInally lying in the bed was pretty uncomfortable all of the day after the operation due to the incision and aching muscles and basically just lying still all the time! HOwever this truly is the very worst of it. I walked to the shops today on my crutches and it was far less sore that it was pre-op! I feel perfectly fine - I just need to sleep more! Good Luck - try not to be too scared! I'm sure it will be fine!
