I believe my bill was in the neighborhood of $27,000. My insurance paid

for all of it except for 1 item that cost $200. I paid for the air travel,

meals and hotel for myself and family out-of-pocket. However, I was able to

deduct those same expenses on my income tax.

Cost of a resurfacing?

For those of you who have had a resurfacing in the US, how much did

it cost for the procedure? From the approximate figures that my

friend gave me who went to Belgium it cost around $2,500 + the

hospital fees, hotel, air fare, food... total around $12,000. He

said it would be around 3x the amount here. I was wondering what

kind of figures people were actually paying for the devices they had

chosen?

Mine were paid for by my insurance. I had to pay my co-pays, and the total

for both came to less than $5000.
