Guest guest
~ I am currently being treated by a chiropractor. It has helped me alot. I thought I'd give it a try. I figgured I couldn't be any worse than I already am. I feel so much better after I go. If you do try going to a chiropractor make sure they deal with fibro. My chiropractor specializes in fibro. That's why I went. I wish you luck if you try. I really think it's helped more than my meds do sometimes. Guest guest
ok, so I went to the chiro who is working on and had him evaluate and adjust me. has been feeling better. She's been to him twice, and goes back today. I was adjusted yesterday. Last night, I got sick, and SO emotional. I couldn't stop crying. And, I'm not an emotional person. This morning I feel sick. I did feel better right after the adjustment. I could breath easier, and a lot of the pain in my neck and back went away. He didn't do much on my neck. He wanted to take it slow and easy. Same with my shoulders. I got real achy last night. I feel like I have the flu. Has anyone else had this happen? I know Mike had an episode when Cindy did the energy work on him. It's like, I've been carrying everything around locked up in my body, and it's starting to come out. Freaky. Ugghh. I feel sick.

Guest guest
Hi . The feeling ill can happen after any type of body work. Bonnie is right about the water and toxins. Drink lots of water. And breathe deep. Concentrate on filling each area of your lungs. With one breath feel the lower lobes fill. With the next breathe feel the middle lobes fill, and so on. With Emotion releases and body work, I suppose anything is possible. Over the years I have had 50 some people have releases on my table. Muscles and fascia hold memory that you are not conscious of. Just a few of those folks that break down from the work, continue the release for days. But to break down after the work and not during, I'm not aware of. But like I said anything is possible. If you feel like crying, then cry. You have held back for too many years. There is a point to let it all go. Sometimes you can cry and not even know why, just let it happen. I have a feeling you are going through something similar to what I did many years ago. Think of it this way... You are a cup and your overflowing with emotion that has been filling for years. Let that cup empty out, so you can have room to grow again. It's healthy not weakness. Your body knows what it needs to heal. chiropractor I was adjusted yesterday. Last night, I got sick, and SO emotional. I couldn't stop crying. And, I'm not an emotional person. This morning I feel sick. I did feel better right after the adjustment. Guest guest
- That 'Hit by a truck' feeling does occur sometimes after bodywork - esp if you haven't had any for awhile. The theory is that you are having toxin release. I haven't had the emotional release (but maybe I was too emotional to notice it - you know, sorta like with pms " I am not either in a bad mood " ) Some things I've found helpful - charcoal pills and sleep. My chiro recommended epsom salt bath with water as hot as I can stand it and orange juice (because it has antioxidant properties so I assume anything anti-oxidant would be the same). sleep works best for me by far. The achy feeling could be your muscle readjusting. Hope you go through the detox quickly and feel better soon. Sounds like you found a good chiro. > ok, so I went to the chiro who is working on and had him evaluate and adjust me. > has been feeling better. Guest guest
Hi, Yea, I think I got a good chiro. He said he has had many patients get flu like symptoms after their first adjustment. He said something about the facia having memory. And, he said he has had some people get very emotional, but always on the table. He said they start crying, and don't know why. So, he said it sounds like I had a pretty severe reaction. Considering all the meds I've weaned off recently, that may be a reason. I still have been taking 2.5 mg of methadone. Just haven't made that last step to stopping completely. I didn't take any yesterday, and this morning I felt horrible. I remembered the dr telling me to finish off by taking it every other day for a week. So I took one, and feel better. is feeling much better. She still complains of her back hurting, but It's definetly much better. We are joingin 24 hour fitness. We went on Thursday and just sort of goofed around with a few things. I could only do 10 minutes on the treadmill. just laughed at us being so out of shape. Today we go in for the deal with the trainer. I know what we have to do, but we are gonna have the trainer set up a workout for us. A very easy workout! One other thing since first going the the chiro. Every cigarette I've smoked since that first adjustment has made me very sick. I've only had a few since then, and am not feeling any withdrawls like irritability. If I feel like having one, I just think about how sick it makes me, and don't have one. Well, not every time, but i've been awake since 6:00 this morning, and I've had 2 cigs today. I wonder what's going on. I'm also SO HUNGRY! I actually had to get up in the middle of the night to drink some warm milk. I feel like there is a hole in my stomache. I haven't had an appetite for years. I still don't have an appetite, but I'm forcing myself to eat. I feel better after I eat. It's really weird. I can tell I'm detoxing. I feel weird. Not real good. But, I feel better every day, and overall better than I've felt in years. I haven't slept very well the last few nights either. I wake up sort of restless. I just concentrate on relaxing, and am able to fall back asleep. I'm amazed, that after years of going to so many different doctors, and so much medication, that the possibility of a chiropractor " healing " me is pretty exciting. I've always just sort of brushed them off, thinking it's not gonna work. But, time will tell! Hugs,
Guest guest
- I am soooo!!! excited for you. Finally getting healing is a wonderful thing. Ask your chiro if he knows about Total Body Modification (TBM) - if he does ask him to use that for help with the cigarettes. Did you speak with him at all about the cigarettes? He might know of something else that would help. I know that I personally feel better without meds - I even keep my supplements to a minimum. What does methadone do? I'm incredibly ignorant about meds. I do know that you have to go off some of them slowly. I have a problem with caffeine. I used to drink gallons of tea. I've quit in the past for a year or so each time, but it is a real addiction for me and so easy to get back into. I've been good for a long time - no tea from Sep 03 till about a month ago - now I'm binging again (Ice tea weather). I deliberatly ran out so I couldn't have any - I felt horrible. After a couple days I bought some tea and had a glass and felt oh so much better. I'm begining to wonder how (not if) it affects my POTS. Anyway - so glad you and are both feeling better - hope 's soreness and your detoxing both go away quickly.

Guest guest
Hi, The methadone does nothing for me. I was on a total of 10mg a day for a few months, and it didn't help my pain at all. I didn't have any side effects from it at all. So, since it wasn't helping with the pain, I decided to stop taking it. Had to wean off it very slowly. I will ask the chiro about the TBM. and I just finished at the gym. we did the air pressure machines, which are very easy. I actually walked on the treadmill for 15 minutes, and did the bike for 15 minutes. That's the most moving I've done in at least 3 years. Amazing. I already feel better. A bit tired, but not as tired as usual. What really got me depressed is finding out that I'm carying around 35 pounds of fat! I only weight 135. That just grossed me out. 12 years ago I lifted free weights, and was in tip top shape. Did step aerobics every day. I was a Marine, for heavens sake! But, since muscles have memory, hopefully I can keep up with this, and get back to shape quickly. I know that the medications make me feel worse. It's almost like I have a lower pain threshold when I take them. But, when something happens, and I really hurt, I need them. Then, I get into a bad cycle. I don't think you should worry too much about your caffeine addiction. Almost everyone has that. You can't be perfect. I guess gallons of tea is too much. Maybe you could try green tea for a while. That has less cafeine. Sort of wean yourself off it. I have a very addictive personality. So, I'm gonna have to be careful not to get too carried away with exercise. That's how I got into this situation in the first place. All I thought about was exercise - when I could go that day, what I would do. Then, I'd go for walks on top of it, and anything else I could think of and just wear myself out. So, I gotta be careful. Hugs,
