Guest guest
I am SO tired tonight. I clearly did too much today! I started the morning as I always do by doing dishes. No biggie. But then I cleaned the front of the stove. Then I made a banana cake. Next I made a chocolate layer cake. (remember tomorrow is granddaughter's 9th birthday party). By the time I got done making icing and icing both cakes it was 2:30 p.m. I am dragging so bad tonight. My back hurts and I can barely walk. I know there isn't anything any of you can do but I wanted someone to complain to!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I sure can relate to that. Not that I did too much physically, but Doodles was here for over 9 hrs, going strong, and not letting up. Tina and her husband let him run wild, and he gets into everything, so there is constant “no Christian, put that back” at least a hundred times during their visit. I love the little guy and he gives the most wonderful hugs and kisses, but that wild child needs some boundaries. I was waiting for my daughter to ask if she could put him to bed as we have a toddler bed for him, and then they could have stayed the night, but 11 pm rolled around and like I said he was going strong. So I sent them home. I felt really guilty afterwards and ticked because any other time I would have stepped in and scooped him up, bathed him, put his jammies on, read him a story and put him to bed. I just don’t have the body strength or mental stamina to do any of that. L So Sharon I applaud you for doing all you did, but I am sorry it took a toll on you too. Happy Birthday to your granddaughters 9th birthday. My Skylar she turned 10 last week on the 16th. Guest guest
Hi Sharon and Jackie,Speaking as a parent of 5 'wild' children myself--well, 2 or 3 of them were morewild than the others--I really never set boundaries with my kids, and I am paying theprice big time. I just NOW am doing it, and it really tries me and my patience, but I know it will pay off in the long-run. Consistency is key I'm learning.Your daughter *should* have truly taken this situation and used it as a modelfor what she should be doing. There was no reason, it seems, why she and/or her spouse couldn't have taken things into their own hands. You should never have to step in and take care of him to that extent. I hope the situation can turn itself around. The sooner the better--take it from me.love you,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Sunday, September 25, 2011 10:08 AMSubject: RE: exhausted I sure can relate to that.
